Cannes Wrap-up: 2014 Video Reports

Want to see what the RogerEbert.com staff was up to at Cannes this year? We have video reports on every aspect of the most famous film festival in the world, including reviews of major new films by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Mike Leigh, Xavier Dolan, Bennett Miller, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Gosling, and many more. We also have a report on the Cannes screening of "Life Itself," a roundtable discussion with our critics, and red carpet footage. All of it is hosted by Chaz Ebert and shot by Scott Dummler. Don't miss one.

Chaz Ebert offers film lovers a fantastic video preview of what's to come at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, including new films by David Cronenberg, Mike Leigh, Bennett Miller, and Steve James (with his "Life Itself," the adaptation of Roger Ebert's memoir).

The 67th Cannes Film Festival has begun and Chaz Ebert is there to provide video reports throughout the event. The competition for the Palme d'Or kicked off with a great film from Mike Leigh, "Mr. Turner" and Chaz offers reviews of that film, along with "Timbuktu," "Red Army," and Atom Egoyan's "Captives."

In our second video report from the Cannes Film Festival, Chaz Ebert reports on the festival premieres of Bennett Miller's "Foxcatcher" (starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo) and Tommy Lee Jones "The Homesman" (with Hilary Swank). Far-Flung Correspondent Michal Olesczyk offers his take on the Jones film and raves about Mike Leigh's "Mr. Turner" and Alice Rohrwacher's "The Wonders." Chaz offers her personal account of "Life Itself."

Chaz Ebert returns with another report from the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, covering a variety of topics, including details on the history and process behind the major awards given away at the fest, a journalist discovering a hidden gem from Argentina, programming for Toronto and Cannes, and reviews of a few major films: The Dardenne Brothers' "Two Days, One Night" with Marion Cotillard and Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, "Lost River." Don't miss it.

By now, we know what won the 2014 Palme d'Or but just before that major announcement, our Cannes Reporters—Ben Kenigsberg, Michal Oleszczyk, and Barbara Scharres—sat down for a roundtable discussion over what they thought were the most memorable films of this year's fest, including "Mr. Turner," "Two Days, One Night," "Leviathan," "Mommy," and "Winter Sleep."

The festival may be over but Chaz Ebert took time on her way home from France to run down the winners of films in competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Winners include "Winter Sleep," "The Wonders," "Mr .Turner," "Mommy," and more.
